In Savilahti, the City aims to employ joint solutions to improve and advance the sorting and recycling of waste. The generation of waste will be minimised already during the construction period.

In Savilahti, waste management solutions will help promote recycling and increase the recycling rate. Recycling solutions for apartments are versatile and sufficient. A residential area-specific waste collection system, i.e. a block collection system, in which several properties use a block-specific or joint waste collection point together, will be introduced in the area. These waste collection points can also be used for testing new smart recycling solutions.
